Basic Waffle Mix

To prepare you all for this week aka WAFFLE WEEK, I need to equip you with the ‘basic mix’ recipe that will be the base for most of the waffle recipes. Like I always do, I’ll be using Alton Brown’s ‘Instant Pancake Mix‘ but leaving out a bit of the sugar so the recipe can adapt better to what we will be making. This mix recipe makes a lot, so have a jar or a bowl ready to store it because you’ll only be using a few scoops each day. Here it is:

Ingredients:

6 cups all-purpose flour

1 1/2 tsp baking soda

3 tsp baking powder

1 tbsp kosher salt

1 tbsp sugar

Mix all the ingredients together and you’ve got your basic mix!
